My Top 5 Make Up Items!

Hello Everyone,

Today I thought I would share my top 5 make up items with you, or better known as - The only thing that helps me look slightly better than a bear that woke up after a windy, rainy night out in the forest.  So behold, the top 5 things that i have been reaching for this month:

1.

The first thing that has become a permanent resident in my make up bag is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation (the shades are really varying too, I use classic ivory). I really like the consistency of it and it feels super light on my skin. I haven't been a fan of foundation in any form other than a lightweight powder but I have really been enjoying this product recently. The one negative I have found is that it can make your skin a little bit oily without a matte powder over it. Regardless of this, everyone has different skin so the result may be different for you.

2.

Number two on this list is one of the best mascara's I have ever used the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara. This mascara makes my eyelashes unbelievably full and long. It is absolutely amazing and one of my all time favourite mascaras (and I've gone through tons.) Ive gotten so may complements asking what mascara I use! I must for everyones make up bag/favourites.

3.

This NYX eyebrow marker always leaves my eyebrows on fleek! I like that it is a felt tipped pen so that I can be super precise and this allows for a much more natural look/application. It doesn't smudge either which is amazing, and the thin tip allows for any eyebrow look to be created, thick or, thin or in-between.

4.

This Stila eyeshadow palette (link for similar) is my all time favourite eyeshadow palette. The shades are beautiful, from glittery golds to coppers along with some basics that are great for casual looks. I forgot to take a photo but you can click the name and it'll take you to the product page. I got this palette ages ago so I'm not sure if they even stock it anymore! If i can find a similar one I'll link that!

5.

Lastly, although this isn't exactly face makeup, the Juicy Couture fragrance. It's by far one of my favourite fragrances. It is really nice and has undertones of vanilla which is one of my favourite scents. It has a very sweet, floral scent so if this isn't something that you like then this fragrance won't be for you.

I hope you enjoyed finding out what my top 5 make up items are.

What is your all time favourite make up piece? Leave a comment to let me know so that I can try them out!

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes (review)

Today I will be reviewing the beautifully tragic book, Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

I would rate this book 5/5! If not more, I absolutely fell in love with the characters within this book and after reading it there was an empty pit in my chest where that characters will live forever. While the subject of quadriplegia is a fragile one, I feel that it was dealt with relatively well in this book. Also, I found Louisa hilarious and incredible relatable! The romantic aspect of the book are very subtle and I think that this makes the budding relationship between Lou and Will even more effective.

A brief synopsis:

The book follows the life of Louisa Clark and her struggling family in a small town, struggling to find a decent job to help support her parents and sister she stumbles upon a job as a carer for a paraplegic man. Enter Will, incredibly angry and standoffish to begin with Louisa struggles to wriggle her way into his life. Eventually after many sarcastic comments Will and Louisa embark upon a path of friendship that blossoms into something more and gets stronger and stronger everyday. But, Lou has to convince Will that life is worth living and that he can still go on adventures and have fun despite his situation. You'll have to read this book to find out what happens and whether Lou and Will survive the unexpected.

This book is utterly beautiful and I honestly could not stop reading. It is exactly what I look for in a romantic novel, even though it is a very sad situation — with Will being a quadriplegic and confined to his wheelchair. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a novel that is heart wrenching and funny. Lou has a wonderful sense of humor and he and Will have this wonderful charisma and sense of ease when they are in each others presence.

This tragic love story is a brilliant read and I will never forget the amazing characters that are within it. A definite must read!

Much love

I'm Back (Finally)

Hello everyone

I know it's been ages since my last blog post, university got in the way and I swept all blog related things under the metaphorical rug. But I'm back now, with a redesigned blog and a ton of enthusiasm that will (hopefully) never fade.

So later today, I will be uploading a classic book review to go back to the roots that this blog was founded on. But, from now on I have big plans to make my blog more versatile. I hope that you'll follow me on this adventure.

Stay tuned for more!

Much love xx
