Hello Everyone,
The time for my August Wrap Up has arrived! August was a rather pitiful month of reading, I was busy and then some family stuff happened. I'm hoping that September is a better month for me! My September TRB post should be up by tomorrow so keep your eyes out for that! It includes a series that everyone has probably read already and I'm a little bit late to the tea part with this one.
Lets jump right into the pitiful amount of books that I read in the month of August:
Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder
This is the third book in the Study series by Maria V. Snyder. I've already done a review on this book, you can give that a read here! This series is one of the most amazing series that I have ever read, the characters are amazing, the main female protagonist is so strong and all round well developed. The romance in this book is subtle but it's still there. I really recommend this book and I rated it 4,5/5 stars. A must read for all anyone who enjoys a great fantasy adventure!
The Maze Runner by James Dashner
I can't say that this is one of the best books that I have ever read but, I thought that it was an okay read. I couldn't really get into the story after watching the movie. I really hope that the story improves with the rest of the books in the series. If you want to read a more in-depth review, you can here! I rated this book 3/5 because I just didn't find myself enjoying the characters and the way that they interacted with one another. Nonetheless, I will be continuing on with this series. Are the rest of the books any better?
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
This is definitely one of the best books that I have ever read! I absolutely adored the characters, the plot and every little part of this book. Once I got into this book I absolutely couldn't put it down! The pages in this books turn themselves. If you like fairytale retellings, then you will definitely enjoy this book because it is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast! Absolutely amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about this book! It is the first book in a new trilogy by Sarah J. Maas, the second book is expected in May 2016. Its so far away, I cannot wait. I rated this book 5/5 stars because I just loved it so much. As soon as I finished this book I went to my nearest book story to pick up the Throne of Glass series! You can read my review of A Court of Thorns and Roses here!
