REVIEW: The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

Hello Everyone!

Todays post is an awesome review of The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey! I waited so long to read this book because I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it or not. Bad idea because I absolutely adored this book and I can't wait to get right on into the second one (which I cannot find anywhere - sad sigh). This book was so action-packed and contained just the right amount of drama and romance to make it a truly loveable book. I'm so excited to see what the movie adaption has to offer. If it is anything like the book then, I'm sure that it will be amazing (the trailer sure is!)

Author: Rick Yancey
Publisher: Penguin Books
My rating: 5/5! Amazing!
Genre: Sci-fi, fantasy, dystopian
ISBN:978-0-141-34583-3

Brief Summary:

This book follows a girl named Cassie during an alien invasion, four waves have already hit. The first killed half a million people. The second took out thousands more! The third lasted for twelve weeks and took the death toll to four billion deaths. The fourth wave? are people still people? Who can be trusted?! This book follows Cassie as she desperately tries to find her brother who was taken from her and along the way she meets a boy but, can she trust him?

I honestly could not put this book down. I enjoyed it so much, the story was amazing and the way that the "others" are introduced and explained is so clever. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a little bit of romance and and action-packed sic-fi adventure! This book is a work of art. One of the best books that I have read in a while.

I know that I haven't posted anything in a while but things have been pretty hectic at home and I just haven't felt very inspired to post anything. Anyway, I'm back and I'm ready to reenter the world of book blogging!

Have you read The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey or any of the other books in the series? What did you think of them?

:)
